Refractive Surgery and Laser Treatments

SMILE Pro

SMILE Pro is a new-generation laser refractive surgery technique used to treat myopia and astigmatism. A small lenticule of tissue is created inside the cornea and removed through a minimal incision, allowing light to focus more accurately on the retina. Suitability is determined by corneal thickness, refractive error, dry eye status, and detailed corneal topography evaluation.

FemtoLASIK

FemtoLASIK is a laser eye surgery technique used to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. A thin corneal flap is created using a femtosecond laser, and the cornea is reshaped with an excimer laser. The goal is to reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses and provide clearer vision.

PRK

PRK is a surface-based laser refractive surgery performed on the corneal surface. It may be preferred in patients whose corneal structure is not suitable for LASIK. Although the healing process is longer compared to LASIK, it is a safe and effective option in properly selected patients.

No Touch Laser

No Touch laser is a surface ablation technique performed with an excimer laser without direct contact with the cornea. It may be used in selected patients to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Careful evaluation of corneal mapping, thickness, and ocular surface health is required.

Hyperopia, Myopia and Astigmatism Treatments

Myopia causes blurred distance vision, hyperopia may affect near and sometimes distance vision, and astigmatism causes blurred vision at both near and far distances. Laser refractive surgery and intraocular lens procedures aim to focus light more precisely on the retina. The appropriate treatment is determined based on refractive error, age, corneal structure, and patient expectations.
